Configuring PAexpress for the SQL Server

Configure PAexpress to interact with the SQL Server database.

  1. From the Windows menu, open PAexpress.
  2. Select the SQL server you installed and click OK.
  3. Select Server programmability, then click Open the SQL editor.
  4. Select Open.
  5. Locate This PC\OSDisk (C:)\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\PAtools <version>\DB\PAexpress\Scripts.
  6. Select patools_database_maintenance.sql and click Execute command.
After setting up the SQL Server, verify the network configurations. Network configurations must allow Windows machines running PAtools applications to access databases on the SQL Server machine. Network configurations must also allow Windows machines running PAtools services to access databases on the SQL Server machine. Determine if any developer machines require access rights to update and backup databases.
