Exporting a Cluster

Export a CAN cluster or LIN cluster as a DBC or LDF file, respectively.

The database that contains the cluster you want to export must first be loaded in the NI-XNET Database Editor.
When you export a database cluster, only features that XNET sessions use to communicate on the network are saved to the file. If the original database was created using software other than NI-XNET, the target file may be missing details from the original.
  1. In the current database, right-click the CAN or LIN cluster that you want to export.
  2. Select Export cluster.
    The Export Cluster dialog opens.
  3. Provide a file name and use the dialog to browse to the location on your system where you want to save the cluster.
  4. Click OK.
