PDU Properties

All PDUs in a cluster are grouped together under the PDUs parent node. When you select a PDU, the properties page for that PDU is displayed in the content pane. The PDU Properties page contains the following properties:

Name—PDU name. This must be unique within the cluster.

Payload Length—Length of the payload in bytes. Maximum length is determined by protocol. The maximum for CAN is 8 bytes. For FlexRay, the maximum is 254 bytes.

Bit Layout—Visual element depicting the signals contained within a frame and PDU and the byte order of each signal.

Comment—Note or descriptive text related to this PDU. The comment is used for information only.
