Verifying WTS Instrument Connection

The simplest way to verify your WTS instrument connection is to open a connection and send the *IDN? command to the instrument. If the WTS connection is valid, the WTS returns instrument information. If you have MAX installed on the client PC, you can use the following procedure.

  1. Launch MAX.
  2. Expand Devices and Interfaces.
  3. Verify that the WTS appears in the list of devices.
  4. Send the *IDN? command to the WTS using the Test Panel in MAX.
    If the WTS does not return instrument information, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
