Adding Users or Computers

Adding Users in NI VLM

  1. In the Users view, click Add User.
  2. Complete the User Information section. A Username is required and must be unique. All other fields are optional.
  3. Add Groups or Explicit Licenses as necessary.
  4. Click Save.

Adding Computers in NI VLM

  1. In the Computers view, click Add Computer.
  2. Complete the Computer Information section. A Computer Name is required and must be unique. All other fields are optional.
  3. Add Groups or Explicit Licenses as necessary.
  4. Click Save.

Editing Users or Computers

Editing Users

  1. Select a user in the Users view and click Edit User or double-click the user.
  2. Edit the User Information section as necessary. A Username is required and must be unique. All other fields are optional.
  3. Add or remove Groups and Explicit Licenses as necessary.
  4. Click Save to update the user.

Editing Computers

  1. Select a computer in the Computers view and click Edit Computer or double-click the computer.
  2. Edit the Computer Information section as necessary. A Computer Name is required and must be unique. All other fields are optional.
  3. Add or remove Groups and Explicit Licenses as necessary.
  4. Click Save to update the computer.

Deleting Users or Computers

  1. In the Users or Computers view, select one or more clients to delete. Use the <Ctrl> and <Shift> keys to select multiple clients as necessary.
  2. Click Delete User or Delete Computer.
  3. To confirm the deletion, click Yes.
