Importing Settings from a Previous NI VLM 3.x Installation

Complete the following steps to import an NI VLM 3.x backup file:
- Click the ellipsis (
) to
navigate to the location of your backup file. You can find the backup file in
the following typical locations:Windows 11/10/8/7/Vista C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Volume License Manager\Backups\ Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\Volume License Manager\Backups - Select your most recent NI VLM backup file (*.vlmbak) and click Open.
Note You can change the default backup
location in the NI VLM preferences ().
