Batch Updating Custom Fields

Using Batch Update, you can update a custom field value for multiple users or computers to a single, consistent value.
Complete the following steps to batch update custom fields.
- In the Users or Computers view, select two or more clients you want to edit. You can shift-click or control-click to select multiple clients.
- Click Batch Update.
- In the dialog box that appears, edit the fields you want to update. Editing these fields changes the values of the selected clients to the new value. Fields displaying (Multiple Values) in gray text indicate that the selected clients have differing values for a custom field. An empty cell indicates all clients in the selection have an empty string as the value for that custom field.
Note You can revert any changes made to
an individual custom field value during an edit
session by clicking the revert button (
