niVMS Measurement Locations VI

Reads, writes, sets, and queries all test element measurement locations and other parameters used in NI VMS.

To use the niVMS Measurement Locations VI, first specify Read or Set in the Operation parameter to load location data from a configuration file or the front panel control into the location cache used for all NI VMS measurements. Then specify Query in the Operation parameter whenever you access the measurement parameters.

Note Note:  Before specifying Write in the Operation parameter, ensure that you have stored all new values using the Set value of the Operation parameter.

If you do not specify a file path for the read and write operations, a file dialog prompt appears when you specify Read or Write in the Operation parameter.

Refer to Test Patterns for information about the individual location parameters. All parameters that measure time measure in microseconds.

Operation (Query) specifies the location operation to perform.

QueryWrites the locations cache to the front panel indicator.
SetSets the locations cache from the front panel control.
Read FileReads the locations file to a cache.
Write FileWrites the cache to a locations file.
Locations File Path specifies the path to the file containing the measurement locations definitions.
Measurement Locations In contains a cluster of specified location information.

2T pulse centre specifies the center of the 2T pulse.
comp. pulse start specifies the start of the composite pulse.
comp. pulse stop specifies the end of the composite pulse.
mod. stairs start specifies the start of the modulated staircase.
mod. stairs stop specifies the end of the modulated staircase.
mod. stairs steps specifies the number of steps in the modulated staircase.
luma stairs start specifies the start of the luma staircase.
luma stairs stop specifies the end of the luma staircase.
luma stairs steps specifies the number of steps in the luma staircase.
MB flag 1 hi specifies the multiburst flag 1 high value (CVBS, S-Video, and CAV G/Y).
MB flag 1 lo specifies the multiburst flag 1 low value (CVBS, S-Video, and CAV G/Y).
MB pkt start contains a multiburst array of burst start values.
MB flag lo specifies the multiburst array of burst start values.
MB pkt stop contains a multiburst array of burst end values.
MB flag lo specifies the multiburst array of burst end values.
chroma pkt start contains a 3-level chroma bar array of start values.
MB flag lo specifies the 3-level chroma bar array of start values.
chroma pkt stop contains a 3-level chroma bar array of end values.
MB flag lo specifies the 3-level chroma bar array of end values.
chroma pedestal specifies the 3-level chroma bar pedestal position.
quiet start specifies the quiet start value.
quiet stop specifies the quiet end value.
colour bars start specifies the color bars start of color.

red start specifies the 75% red start.
red stop specifies the 75% red end.

Error In describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
Measurement Locations Out contains a cluster of returned location information. For descriptions of the returned subparameters, refer to the Measurement Locations In parameter, which contains input subparameters equivalent to the returned subparameters of Measurement Locations Out.
Error Out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
