Using a Database as a Property Loader Source
Click Configure Database in the Step Settings tab of Property Loader Step to launch the Configure Database Connections dialog box. The Configure Database Connections dialog box lists the currently defined data links.
The Configure Database Connections dialog box contains the following options:

Connections
—Specifies a list of existing connections. Select the connection that you
want to use from the list of connections by checking it. The connection has the following
options:
- Add—Click on it to add a new connection to the list of connections.
- Remove—Click on it to remove the selected connection from the list of connections.
- Copy—Click on it to copy the currently selected connection.
- Paste —Click on it to paste a previously copied connection to the list of connections already present.
- Connection Name —Specifies a name for the connection.
- Connection String —Specifies the data source and options to use when opening the data source. The contents of the string can include the name of the server where the data resides, the database or file that contains the data and the user ID and permissions to use when connecting to the data source. You must encapsulate the string value with quotes ("") if the connection name is Unsaved connection .
- Select File —Specifies a file which specifies the connection string. When you select a Microsoft Data Link file, TestStand updates the Connection String control with the pathname of the file.
- View —Launches the Database Viewer application and opens the database specified by the connection string.
- Build —Constructs a connection string using the Data Link Properties dialog box.
