Schemas Tab - Database Options Dialog Box
Schemas Tab
Schema Section
The Schema section contains the following options:
- Name —Specifies the name of the schema.
- Comment —Specifies the comment for the schema.
- Validate —Launches the Schema Validation dialog box, which determines whether the statement and column information for the selected schema matches the tables and columns in the database specified by the connection string on the Logging Options/Data Link tab.
-
Build .sql File
—Specifies the file path of the
.sql
file that contains the SQL commands that generate the tables and columns of the selected schema.
Note The Build .sql File option does not produce complete SQL files. Use the generated SQL files as a starting point for the selected schema.
-
Allow Editing of Schema
—Enables controls that edit the schema.
Note To ensure that installers for newer versions of TestStand do not overwrite the schema customizations, create a copy of the National Instruments schema using the Schemas Context Menu and Shortcut Keys . Make changes to the new copy of the schema and click the checkbox next to the new schema to identify it as the default.
