Previewing Your Imported Data
The Import Preview dialog box displays the preview of the Import operation performed on the sequence file. The preview displays the values of properties before and after import is done. You can launch this dialog box in the following ways:
- Click the Import Preview button in the Step Settings pane of the Property Loader step type.
- Click the Import Preview button in the Import/Export Properties tool.
The Import Preview dialog box contains the following information:
- Source List —Displays the property loader source that you are using to import values and a count of changes and insertions introduced in the sequence file to which values are being imported.
- Differences Table —Displays the differences grouped by sequences, file global variables, file properties, and types for each specified file.
-
Filters Tab
—Displays the filters applied for the Differences Table. The Filters tab contains the following options:
- All —Hides all items with no differences. When you enable this option, the Step Properties and Element options are disabled.
- Step Properties —Hides all the properties under a step with no differences.
- Element —Hides all the elements of a property with no differences.
- Condense Nested Differences —Hides the subelements of a property that do not have differences and shows only the subproperty that does have a difference. When a property condenses, the parent item of the property replaces the property in the Differences table with the only subelement of the property that has a difference. The utility replaces the name of the subelement in the Differences table with a lookup string, such as Locals.Container.Number , that represents the path from the parent element of the property to the only subelement of the property that has a difference.
