Initiate Operation

The Initiate operation initiates a measurement. When this operation executes, the DMM leaves the idle state and waits for a trigger. Use the Fetch operation to retrieve the measurement the Initiate operation starts. This operation does not check the instrument status. Typically, this operation is only called in a sequence of calls to other low-level driver operations, such as the Fetch operation.
