File List

The file list of the TestStand File Diff and Merge utility contains the following columns:

• File —Lists the files you are comparing. The background color associated with each file represents the color the Differences table uses when that file contains a difference. When comparing two files, you can click the Save Modified File button to save a file. You can click the Select Files to Diff button to specify a new file to compare in the Differences control. If a file you want to compare is locked, click the Unlock File button to unlock the file. The tooltip displays the full file path when you hover the cursor over the File column.
• Changes —The number of value changes in each file compared to the base file. When you compare two files against each other and you disable the When Diffing Two Files, Treat First File As The Base File option in the File Differ Options dialog box, this value is the same for both files.
• Insertions —The number of insertions in each file compared to the base file. When you compare two files against each other and you disable the When Diffing Two Files, Treat First File As The Base File option in the File Differ Options dialog box, the utility counts deletions in one file as insertions in the other file.
• Deletions —The number of deletions in each file compared to the base file. When you compare two files against each other and you disable the When Diffing Two Files, Treat First File As The Base File option in the File Differ Options dialog box, this column is not available.
• Ignored Changes —The number of ignored changes in each file compared to the base file. Ignored changes can include insertions, deletions, or value changes. When all Ignore Options on the Filters Tab are disabled, this column is not displayed.
• File Format Version —Specifies the file format version of the property object file, typically the version of the TestStand Engine in which the sequence file is saved.
