Connect/Disconnect Operation (IVI Switching Mode)

The Connect/Disconnect operation configures the paths for the IVI logical name the step specifies.

The Connect/Disconnect operation contains the following options:

• Action —Specifies whether to connect or disconnect the path between the specified Source and Destination channels, or disconnect all previously connected paths. The Action operation returns as soon as the instrument is ready for another operation. This may be before or after the switches involved settle. Use the Wait operation when you want to wait until all switches have debounced.

  Supported Value	Description
  Connect (0)	Creates a path between the specified Source and Destination channels.
  Disconnect (1)	Destroys the path between the specified Source and Destination channels.
  Disconnect All (2)	Disconnects all paths previously created.

• Source —The name of the Source channel you are connecting or disconnecting. The string expression must evaluate to be a valid virtual channel name as the IVI configuration tool for the logical name being used defines.
• Destination —The name of the Destination channel you are connecting or disconnecting. The string expression must evaluate to be a valid virtual channel name as the IVI configuration tool for the logical name being used defines.
