Configure Scan Operation (IVI Switching Mode)

Scan List Tab

Use the Scan List tab to build a list of scanning actions. Scanning actions include connecting a path, disconnecting a path, and waiting for a trigger.

The Scan List tab for the Configure Scan operation contains the following options:

• Source —The name of the Source channel you are connecting or disconnecting. The string expression must evaluate at run time to a valid virtual channel name as the IVI configuration tool for the logical name being used defines.
• Destination —The name of the Destination channel you are connecting or disconnecting. The string expression must evaluate at run time to a valid virtual channel name as the IVI configuration tool for the logical name being used defines.

  Use the following three buttons, located below the Destination control, to insert new items into the Scan List listbox:

  • Connect —Inserts a connect path item into the scan list using the specified Source and Destination channels.
  • Disconnect —Inserts a disconnect path item into the scan list using the specified Source and Destination channels.
  • Wait for Trigger —Inserts a wait for trigger item into the scan list.
  You can reorder the items in the scan list using the up and down arrow buttons located below the Scan List listbox. Click Delete to remove an item from the list.
