Check Remote System Status Step Configuration Dialog Box
Select Configure Check Remote System Status in the context menu for the step or click Configure Check Remote System Status on the General tab of the Step Properties dialog box to launch the Check Remote System Status Step Configuration dialog box from a TestStand User Interface .
Use this dialog box to specify the remote system and the location to store the result of the system check.
The Check Remote System Status Step Configuration dialog box contains the following options:
- Hostname —The remote computer. Leave this option empty to use the local computer.
- Specify Remote Host by Expression —Enable this option to specify that the Hostname control contains an expression the step evaluates at run time to determine the name of the remote host.
- Port Number —The TCP/IP port number to use to connect to the remote system.
- Timeout (ms) —The time, in milliseconds, to wait for a connection before timing out. A value of –1 indicates to wait indefinitely.
- Server Check —The location to store a Boolean value that indicates whether the remote system check passed. The default value is Step.Result.PassFail .
