A general error occurred while building the installer. Refer to the message details for additional information about the error.

How do I resolve this error?

Use the following suggestions to resolve the issue.

  • Make sure that no installers are running while creating a deployment.
  • Make sure that only one instance of the deployment utility is running.
Additional information on the error can be found in the TSDU Installer Build Log file. To generate this file, select the Save Log Button dropdown menu, and select the Save Technical Support Report option. The generated ZIP archive contains the TSDU Installer Build Log file.

If the issue persists, contact National Instruments for support. Save a technical support record to send to National Instruments by selecting Save Technical Support Report from the Save Log button pull-down menu.
