-19029: Patch Deployment Files Incorrectly Configured to Install at Higher Level than Full Deployment Installation Directory
Message
The following files in the patch deployment are configured to install in a directory higher than the installation directory of the full deployment installer:
Why does this error occur?
A full deployment installer installs all the files in a specified installation directory, for example, C:\Program Files\My System . Patch installers cannot install files at a higher level than this directory because doing so might break other applications installed on the computer. To avoid this behavior, the deployment utility prevents you from creating a patch deployment installer that installs files at a higher level than the current installation directory for the full deployment.
How do I resolve this error?
Use the following suggestions to resolve the issue.
- Create a full deployment instead of a patch deployment.
- If creating a full deployment is not possible, use the Distributed Files tab to move the destinations of all the specified files to a directory other than the installation directory.
If the issue persists, contact National Instruments for support. Save a technical support record to send to National Instruments by selecting Save Technical Support Report from the Save Log button pull-down menu.
