Exporting and Downloading Files

Export the files you found to a zip file and download the file to your computer or make these files available for data analyses.

In Data Navigation, select the DataFinder or the
Federation instance and click
.
- Create a Quick Search or an Advanced Search and run the search.

In the search results list, select the files you want to export.
Note Data Navigation always exports entire files, even if you only select groups or channels in the search results.

Option Description Exports the search results in the original format to a zip file. If you searched for data in the SystemLink file service, the exported zip file also contains a json file with the file service meta data of the exported file. Exports the search results to a zip file in a format for which you have registered a writing DataPlugin. Displays the search results in SystemLink File Viewer as a chart. Copies the search results to the Data Cart so that you can analyze these files with Data Analysis. Note A zip file can contain a maximum of 200 files and must not be larger than 2 GB. - Change the filename of the zip file and click OK.

Downloads at the top of the window to open the Download Center.
Note After two weeks, Data Navigation deletes all zip files from the Download Center by default. Only an authorized user can change the specified 2 weeks by selecting in Data Indexing. Data Navigation does not delete files that have the Processing status.
- Select a zip file and click to save the zip file on your computer.
