Monitoring SystemLink Deployment Progress
Use the Progress page to monitor deployment stages.
Note Deployments do
not have a fixed duration. Each installation event, restart event, and sleep event
can delay SystemLink access up to 10 minutes each. Individual deployment actions can
wait and retry for several minutes.
- On the Progress page, wait for Validating input to complete.
-
Monitor the following stages.
- Preparing system
- Configuring system
- Generating product configuration
- Deploying
-
Once all stages complete, select View status to verify
the deployment.
At each stage of deployment, the Configuration Utility reports the following statuses.
- Not started
- In progress
- Completed
- Failed
A Failed stage prevents later stages from starting.
If a stage fails, navigate to C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\SystemLink\Logs and review the systemlinkconfig-*.log file and systemlinkservice-*.log files. Use these logs to identify any failed configuration conditions or host conditions.
Note The Configuration Utility and SystemLink Windows service also
write events to the event log for the Windows application.
Once you have determined the issue, you must make and deploy a correction to the deployment settings.
- On the Progress page, select Previous to return to the Review Deployment page.
- Select the configuration page for the component that requires correction and update the settings.
- Return to the Review Deployment page and wait for every component to display OK.
- Click Deploy to start another deployment.
