Create dashboards using the Data Frames data source.
- In SystemLink Enterprise, navigate to .
- Click .
- Click Add visualization.
- In the Query tab, set the Data source to SystemLink Data Frames.
-
Select a Query Type to
view the appropriate type of data.
Query Type Description Data Returns time-series data and tabular data that is suitable for the following visualization types:- Time series
- Bar chart
- Table
- Histogram
- Plotly chart
- XY chart
Properties Returns data table properties and column properties.
-
In the Query Configurations
section, add filters to the following sub sections to filter
the data to a specific data table.
- Query by result properties
- Query by data table properties
- Query by column properties
Note If the filters match more than 1,000 data tables, the data source only processes the first 1,000 data tables. -
Based on your Query Type,
update the configuration of the data source.
Query Type Data Table Properties Data - In the Columns
drop-down, select the columns you want to
visualize.Note You can select up to 20 columns.
- In the Decimation

Decimation method.Note To return undecimated data, select None. Set the Take value to determine the number of rows to return.Note The default Take value is 10,000. The upper limit is 1,000,000.
- (Optional) Specify the column of values for
use as the x-axis when decimating the data in the
X-column.Note The default value of the X-column field is the index column of the data table.
- (Optional) To load higher resolution data when
zooming or panning across a chart, enable the
Filter for x-axis range on zoom or
pan option.Note The column you select as the X-column must match the x-axis of the plot.Note When you zoom or pan in one panel, SystemLink reflects that action in all other panels with the same configuration. These panels share the same X-column selection. The dashboard configuration does not save the zoomed or panned range.
