Adding the Alarms Data Source to a Dashboard

Create dashboards using the Alarms data source.

  1. In SystemLink Enterprise, navigate to Overview » Dashboards.
  2. Click » New dashboard.
  3. Click Add a new panel.
  4. In the Query tab, set the Data source to SystemLink Alarms.
  5. Set the Query Type to List Alarms.
  6. Select an Output Type to view the appropriate results.
    Output Type Description
    Properties View the properties of the alarms.
    Total Count View a numeric count of the alarms.
  7. Set the Output to Properties.
  8. In the Properties drop-down, select the properties to display.
  9. Optional: In the Query Builder, add filters to narrow the query results.
  10. Enter a Take value to specify the maximum number of results that the query should return.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Update the Query Type to change the query results.
    Query Type Description
    Alarms Trend View a timeline of alarms. You can also group the alarms by severity.
    List Alarms View the properties or a numeric count of the alarms.

The following are examples of queries you can create using the alarm data source:

  • List all products under a family. This list also includes the properties of those products.
  • List all products by various query conditions. You can then use data transformation to display a count of filtered products.
