Calkit files define the properties of the calibration elements (or calibration standards) of a calibration kit and the connectors of these calibration elements. Typical calibration standards collected in a calibration kit include:

  • (Offset) Shorts
  • (Offset) Opens
  • (Offset) Loads
  • Thrus
  • Lines

The RFmx VNA requires a calkit file to perform a VNA calibration using a mechanical calibration kit. Depending on the selected calibration method (SOL, SOLT, TRL), RFmx VNA expects specific elements in a calibration kit.
