Installing the Output Connector Assembly onto the PXIe-4135

Notice For LO and Sense LO connections, use only use twisted, shielded pair cable to ensure specified EMC performance.
  1. Open the output connector assembly and expose the Output LO, Sense LO, and Chassis Ground cable conductors with an insulation strip tool.
Note The maximum strip length for the Output LO and Sense LO cable is 10 mm (0.394 in.).
  2. Insert each cable into the appropriate connector terminal. Terminate the cable drain wire to the Chassis Ground terminal.
  3. Inspect the terminal connections to ensure that no exposed metal is visible on the Output LO and Sense LO cables beyond the body of the connector.
  4. Clamp down using the screw terminals on the connector, and verify that no exposed shield foil or braid extends outside of the backshell.
  5. Using the cable tie, provide strain relief for the cable to the backshell.
  6. Close the output connector assembly and tighten the retention screw to hold it in place.
  7. Connect the output connector assembly to the device with triaxial cables.
  8. Tighten any thumbscrews on the output connector assembly to hold it in place.
  9. Power on the chassis.
Note Low energy transients can appear at the output terminals of your PXIe-4135 during certain situations, such as power-up, power-down, device driver loading, and self-calibration.
