Preconditions for Recording Variables with Their Natural Frequency

Note
  • The test must have been generated from a database with PAtools 7.0 or later
  • The underlying function must be mapped cyclically (thus with clocks) and must not be triggered by an event
  • The variable must not be calculated in PAbasic

There are three possible sampling times for the frequency at which a variable is indicated in the graph. They are checked in order; as soon as one of these possibilities has been found it is used.

  1. The natural frequency at which the variable is recorded. If the natural frequency can be determined the variable is displayed at that frequency. If it cannot be determined, the process moves on to the next method.
  2. The graphics event Graph.Evt. If this event is set, display of the variable is triggered by the graphics event in the chart. If the graphics event is present in the test but is not set, the variable will not be displayed in the chart. In this case, a yellow message bar above the diagram indicates that no sampling frequency is parameterized. If there is no graphics event in the test, the process moves on to the next method.
  3. Standard cycle. If the process has moved through to this point the standard cycle is used, which records values asynchronously at 10 Hz.
