Scan local hosts and configured hosts to find test stations in PAcontroller.

Introduced in PAtools 2025 Q4

  1. Launch PAcontroller.
  2. Click Test Station.
    The Test Station browser appears.
  3. Click the binoculars icon.
    The slot discovery panel displays.
  4. Click the settings icon and choose how you want to discover a test station.
    • Scan localhost—Scans for PXIs that are on your local subnet.
    • Scan configured host—Scans for test stations and slots that you configured in PAconfigurator. This discovery option also scans for test stations and slots that you added in PAcontroller. Test stations and slots are scanned using the network connections.
    • Overwrite discovered slots—The results from a previous search or configuration are overwritten.
  5. Click the play icon.
    Results load with the binoculars icon in the Type column.

You can stop the discovery by clicking the stop icon. The stop icon is only enabled when discovery is in process.

You can delete the test stations that you added using the trash icon.
