1. On the All Groups tab, click New User Group
  2. Enter a unique name for the new user group in the Name field.
    Note The name can be a maximum of 300 characters long. Blanks, umlauts and special characters are allowed. There is no distinction between upper and lower case.
  3. Optional: Add a description for the user group in the Description field.
  4. Enable the User group is active option if you want the user group to be active.
    Note If a user group is not active, users can still belong to it. However, these users cannot select the user group if they want to change the user group. If you deactivate a previously active user group, objects in the database created by a user of this group remain assigned to this user group.
  5. Optional: Under the Users list, select which users to assign to the user group.
    Note You can assign users to any number of groups and each group can have any number of users.
  6. Click Save.
The new user group appears on the All Groups tab. You can edit or delete existing user groups, however, you cannot delete a user group if one or more users belonging to a group own objects whose rights are linked to the group.
