Each f(x) chart consists of at least an X-axis, at least an Y-axis, at least a group and at least a data series. If you group the Y-axes, you can also create any number of segments. You can define any number of groups, data series, x- and y-axes; there are only restrictions by the used graphic card and the clarity of the representation.

  • X-Axes—X-axes can be created at first without any reference to segments, data series or y-axes. Only thresholds, title and representation are specified.
  • Y-Axes—Y-axes are freely defined in the layered and stacked arrangement. In the grouped arrangement they have to be assigned to a segment. In all arrangements, you can set limit values, title, appearance, and scaling.
  • Segments—Segments correspond to stacked charts. Multiple y-axes can be assigned to each segment. Y-axes are assigned to segments when the y-axes are parameterized.
  • Data Series—A data series represents either two variables of the test or a PAtools results file in relation to one another. For each data series exactly one x-axis and one y-axis must be configured. For your data series you can define any combination of x- and y-axes as well as a title.
