Setting up a Battery Application Database
Use PAexpress to restore a database backup on a SQL Server.
The battery application database backup installs with the PAtools Battery Software Suite at the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\PAtools <version>\Battery Application
- Upload the battery application database backup to a location that your SQL Database Server can access.
-
Use PAexpress to restore the database
backup.
For more information about restoring a database backup, refer to Setting up a Database in the PAtools User Manual.
-
Use PAconfigurator to create a PAtools
User with administrator rights to the database.
Note For the PAtools Test Generator Software to access the database and generate a test, the PAtools user name must match the Windows user name.
Upgrading a Battery Application Database
Upgrade to the latest release of the database to ensure modules and templates in PAconfigurator are valid and up to date. Libraries and other PAscript objects also update when you upgrade the database. In addition, upgrading the database provides performance improvements, bug fixes, and other new functionalities.
To upgrade a battery application database to the latest PAtools release, refer to the instructions in the PAtools Battery Database Upgrades GitHub repository. If you do not have access to the GitHub repository, work with your account representative for access credentials. Attempting to access the repository without proper credentials results in a 404 error.
