To install packages from a feed, you register the feed and install it from the Packages tab.

  1. Open Package Manager and click (Settings).
  2. Select the checkbox for Show available packages and feed management tools.
    Package Manager displays General and Feeds sections in the Settings dialog box.
  3. In the Feeds section, click Add.
  4. In the Add feed dialog box, enter a name for the feed and the feed path. Click Add.
  5. Open the Packages tab, select the checkbox for each package you want to install and then click Install.
    Tip Remove the checkmark from the Products Only checkbox to view all available packages.
    Note Performing an installation applies to all selected packages including packages hidden by filtering and search.
  6. Follow instructions in the installation prompt to complete installation.
    Note

    The Packages tab lists packages that are not installed but are available from the registered feeds in Package Manager. The Packages tab only lists the highest versions available for packages. The Updates tab lists all packages available for installed packages. The Packages tab may include packages whose dependent packages are not located in the registered feeds. Package Manager attempts to connect to ni.com to locate missing dependencies during installation.
