Note Note  This procedure assumes your image is already in a binary state.
  1. Use the Image Buffer step to store the image to reconstruct.
  2. Process the image to create a marker image. Remove extraneous information from the image using various binary morphology operations from the Advanced Morphology, Basic Morphology, and Particle Filter steps. Create an image containing only the seed points for the particles you want to reconstruct.
  3. Select Binary Morphological Reconstruction in the Binary tab of the Processing Functions palette.
  4. In the Step Name textbox, enter a descriptive name for the step.
  5. Select the image to reconstruct from the buffer list.
  6. Select the element to reconstruct. You can reconstruct particles or the background of the image.
  7. Select the type of connectivity to use.
  8. Select the image to display in the main window. The default view is the reconstructed image.
  9. Click OK to apply the reconstruction and add this step to the script.
