By default, capture is off when you open I/O Trace. You can change the default on the General page of the Options dialog box. Select Tools»Options to display the Options dialog box.

Starting Capture

To start capture, click the Start button .

You also can select Tools»Start Capture to start capture.

Stopping Capture

To stop capture, click the Stop button .

You also can select Tools»Stop Capture or press <Ctrl-Break> (Windows) or <Meta-Break> (Linux).

Tip For help on the toolbar buttons, use the context-sensitive help in the I/O Trace application. Once you turn capture on, you can run your application and then return to I/O Trace to view the captured calls to NI drivers.
