You can use Scan mode to access C Series modules directly from the LabVIEW Real-Time Module.

Note By default, the NI-9145 is in Scan mode.

Locating Modules

Modules in Scan mode appear directly under the NI-9145 item in the LabVIEW Project Explorer window. The I/O channels appear as I/O variables under the modules.

To use I/O variables, drag and drop the variables to the RT VIs.

Restriction You cannot program the FPGA on the NI-9145 with LabVIEW while in Scan mode. The NI-9145 must be in FPGA mode for you to program the FPGA.
