Forces a particular edge, pattern match, or software trigger to occur.
This node applies only to the triggers listed below, and it is valid only if the particular trigger has been configured for edge, pattern match, or software triggering:
- Start Trigger
- Reference Trigger
- Advance Trigger
- Script Trigger
- Stop Trigger
For edge or pattern match triggers, you can use this node as a software override.

session in
Instrument session obtained from the Initialize Acquisition Sessionnode, the Initialize Generation Sessionnode, or the Initialize External Calibrationnode.
trigger
The trigger you want to assert.
You can select Start Trigger, Reference Trigger, Advance Trigger, Script Trigger, or Stop Trigger as the value for this control.
trigger id
The specified details of the script trigger.
This parameter can be ScriptTrigger0, ScriptTrigger1, ScriptTrigger2, or ScriptTrigger3; or you can leave this parameter blank for the Start, Reference, Advance, and Stop triggers.
error in
Error conditions that occur before this node runs.
The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.
Default value: No error
session out
Handle that identifies the session in all subsequent node calls.
The session out parameter is obtained from the Initialize Acquisition Sessionnode or the Initialize Generation Sessionnode.
