Cable the VST to the coprocessor.

Note Refer to the hardware requirements listed in NI Data Link Test Framework System Requirements. Ensure all components are installed in the chassis before completing the following steps.
  1. Connect the cabling for your VST.
    • For the PXIe-5840/5841 and PXIe-6594/7915, connect the Nano-Pitch Male to Nano-Pitch Male OCuLink x4 Cable to the DIO ports on the VST and the coprocessor. The cable is not directional.

    • For the PXIe-5840/5841 and PXIe-7903, connect the Nano Pitch connector of the Nano-Pitch Male to Mini-SAS HD Male OCuLink x4 Cable to the DIO Port of the VST and the Mini-SAS zHD connector to Port 8 of the coprocessor.

    • For the PXIe-5842 (up to 2 GHz) and PXIe-7903, make connections with two Mini-SAS zHD-Mini-SAS zHD HSS Passive Cables. The cables are not directional.
      1. Connect the first Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 0 of the VST and Port 4 of the coprocessor.
      2. Connect the second Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 1 of the VST and Port 5 of the coprocessor.

    • For the PXIe-5842 (4 GHz) and PXIe-7903, make connections with four Mini-SAS zHD-Mini-SAS zHD HSS Passive Cables. The cables are not directional.
      1. Connect the first Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 0 of the VST and Port 8 of the coprocessor.
      2. Connect the second Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 1 of the VST and Port 9 of the coprocessor.
      3. Connect the third Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 2 of the VST and Port 10 of the coprocessor.
      4. Connect the fourth Mini-SAS zHD cable to Port 3 of the VST and Port 11 of the coprocessor.
