Use the DAQmx System Setup functions to query information about your devices and software configuration from Measurement & Automation Explorer.

DAQmx Device Name
Lists all devices installed in the system. Right-click the constant, and select I/O Name Filtering from the shortcut menu to limit the devices that the constant displays and to limit what you can enter in the constant. If you right-click this constant and create a Property Node, the Property Node is for the constant itself and is not a DAQmx Device Property Node.
DAQmx System Property Node
A Property Node with the DAQmx System class preselected. Right-click the Property Node and choose Select Filter from the shortcut menu to make the Property Node show only the properties supported by a particular device installed in the system or supported by all the devices installed in the system.
DAQmx Device Property Node
A Property Node with the DAQmx Device class preselected. Right-click the Property Node and choose Select Filter from the shortcut menu to make the Property Node show only the properties supported by a particular device installed in the system or supported by all the devices installed in the system.
DAQmx Set Power Up States VI
Updates the states to which to set physical channels on a device when the device powers up or when you reset the device. A device stores power up states in non-volatile memory that you can write to only a limited number of times. Therefore, you should use this VI as infrequently as possible. This VI writes to the non-volatile memory only if a setting you request is different from the one currently stored. This VI writes power up states in the sequential order of the power up states array. Therefore, any physical channels with multiple entries in that array use the highest array index.
DAQmx Get Power Up States VI
Returns the power up states that physical channels on a device are set to when the device powers up or when you reset the device. This VI returns data for only one line.
DAQmx Write ID Pin Memory VI
Writes the supplied data and format code to the EEPROM connected to the specified ID pin.
DAQmx Read ID Pin Memory VI
Reads and returns the data and format code stored in the memory attached to the specified ID Pin.
DAQmx Add Network Device VI
Adds a Network cDAQ device to the system and, if specified, attempts to reserve it.
DAQmx Delete Network Device VI
Deletes a Network DAQ device previously added to the host. If the device is reserved, it is unreserved before it is removed.
DAQmx Reserve Network Device VI
Reserves the Network DAQ device for the current host. Reservation is required to run NI-DAQmx tasks, and the device must be added in MAX before it can be reserved.
DAQmx Unreserve Network Device VI
Unreserves or releases a Network DAQ device previously reserved by the host.
DAQmx Storage
Use the DAQmx Storage VIs and functions to save and delete tasks, global channels, and custom scales in MAX.
DAQmx cDAQ Sync
Use the DAQmx cDAQ Sync VIs and functions to set up and configure cDAQ Sync devices.
