LabVIEW cannot discover all compatible hardware. Complete the following steps to add an R Series expansion chassis or RIO mezzanine cards to your project.

Adding an R Series Expansion Chassis

  1. Right-click My Computer in the Project Explorer window and select New»Targets and Devices from the shortcut menu to display the Add Targets and Devices dialog box.
  2. Select the appropriate R Series device and click the OK button. LabVIEW adds an FPGA target item for the R Series device to the project.
  3. Right-click the FPGA Target for the R Series device in the Project Explorer window and select New»R Series Expansion Chassis from the shortcut menu to display the New R Series Expansion Chassis dialog box.
  4. Select the connector to which the R Series Expansion chassis is connected in the Location pull-down menu.
  5. Check the Discover C Series modules checkbox and click the OK button to add the items to the project.
  6. Right-click a module in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu to configure module-specific settings.Enter your first step here.
    LabVIEW adds the following target to your project.

Adding a RIO Mezzanine Card

  1. Right-click the FPGA Target in the Project Explorer window and select New»RIO Mezzanine Card from the shortcut menu
    The New RIO Mezzanine Card dialog box opens.
  2. Select the appropriate RIO mezzanine card from the Type pull-down menu and click the OK button.
    LabVIEW adds a RIO mezzanine card item and FPGA I/O items for I/O to the project.
  3. To configure RIO mezzanine card specific settings, right-click the RIO mezzanine card item in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
    Note   LabVIEW discovers any C Series modules connected to RIO mezzanine cards with C Series slots after you add the card to the project.
LabVIEW adds the following target to your project.
