Delay

This component models an ideal analog delay. The model stores all input data spanning a time period defined by the Delay parameter. It then outputs the data in the same order, that is, first-in first-out (FIFO). Linear interpolation is used to calculate values that are between time points. The input and output voltages are referenced to ground (0).
The Value tab in this component's properties dialog box contains the following:
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Delay | The duration of the time delay. |
Example
This component does not set any breakpoints in the simulator. This can result in the output signal being distorted if the signal you are sampling is inconsistent, for example, a square wave which has fast transitions with a large number of breakpoints and then a long stable area with very few. If this occurs, select the Maximum time step (TMAX) option in the Transient Analysis dialog box Analysis parameters tab.
