Monitoring and Configuring a Remote Device from a Web Browser

After you install NI Web-Based Monitoring and Configuration on a remote device, such as an RT target, you can use a Web browser to monitor and configure the device.
Use the LabVIEW Real-Time Software Wizard in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to determine whether NI Web-Based Monitoring and Configuration is installed on an RT target and to install the software if necessary.
Accessing the Configuration Page
To access Web-based monitoring and configuration for a remote device, enter in a Web browser the URL http://[remote device IP address] where [remote device IP address] is the actual IP address of the remote device.
Logging into the Configuration Page
Web-based monitoring and configuration uses a permission-based security model. By default, each remote device includes a single user with the following name and password:
- User name—Admin
- Password—<blank>
After you access the Web-based monitoring and configuration page for a remote device, complete the following steps to log in for the first time.

Note The User name and Password fields are case-sensitive. |
- Click the Login button in the top-right corner of the page.
- Enter Admin in the User name field.
- Leave the Password field blank.
- Click the OK button.
