Introduction to the LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module

Most LabWindows/CVI applications run on a general-purpose OS such as Windows or Linux®. Some applications require real-time performance that general-purpose operating systems cannot guarantee. The LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module extends the capabilities of LabWindows/CVI to address the need for real-time performance.

Use the Real-Time Module to build deterministic applications to execute on a real-time operating system. First develop your application in LabWindows/CVI, and then execute the application on an RT target. The RT target can run applications in a stable platform optimized for real-time performance.
