By default, LabVIEW performs arbitration for all shared resources except for FPGA I/O. FPGA I/O default behavior is dependent upon the FPGA target and FPGA I/O resource. You can customize the arbitration options for FPGA I/O and FPGA FIFO items in the Project Explorer window if you need to optimize the FPGA VI. The default arbitration option varies according to the type of shared resource target and the I/O.
Changing Arbitration Options of an FPGA I/O Item
Complete the following steps to change the arbitration option of an FPGA I/O item in the Project Explorer window.
- Right-click the FPGA I/O item in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu. The FPGA I/O Properties dialog box appears.
- Select the Advanced Code Generation from the Category list.
- Select the arbitration options you want from the pull-down menus.
