Computes the Fourier transform of x. This VI is similar to the FFT VI. Wire data to the x input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.

This VI is similar to the Real FFT instance of the FFT VI.

Inputs/Outputs

  • cbool.png initialize

    initialize, when TRUE, initializes the internal state of the VI.

  • cdbl.png x

    x is an input data point.

  • ci32.png sample length

    sample length is the length of each set of incoming data. The VI performs computation on each set of data. The default is 100.

    sample length must be greater than 0.

  • i1dcdb.png FFT{X}

    FFT{X} is the real FFT of the set of input data points specified by sample length.

    If the input signal is in volts (V), FFT {X} has units of volts. If the input signal is not in volts, FFT {X} has units of the input signal unit. This VI returns the phase in radians.

  • ii32.png error

    error returns any error or warning from the VI. You can wire error to the Error Cluster From Error Code VI to convert the error code or warning into an error cluster.
