Force Window (DBL) VI
- Updated2025-07-30
- 2 minute(s) read
Applies a force window to the input signal X. Wire data to the X input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.

Inputs/Outputs
X
—
X is a real vector.
duty cycle(%)
—
duty cycle must be a percentage. If your duty cycle is expressed as a fraction of a completed record, you must convert the duty cycle to a percentage, as shown in the following illustration, before using the Force Window VI.
Windowed X
—
Windowed X is the input signal with the window applied.
error
—
error returns any error or warning from the VI. You can wire error to the Error Cluster From Error Code VI to convert the error code or warning into an error cluster. |
If y represents the output sequence Windowed X, the Force Window VI obtains the elements of y from
d = (0.01)(n)(duty cycle), where n is the number of elements in X.
You can use the Force Window VI to analyze transients.
