In the Project Explorer window, select Project»Properties display the Project Properties dialog box and select Project from the Category list to display this page. You also can click the Project Properties button on the Project toolbar or right-click the project root and select Properties from the shortcut menu to display this dialog box.

Use this page to add a description for the project and view the project location.

This page includes the following components:

Option Description
Project Description

Contains the text that appears in the Context Help window if you select the project root in the Project Explorer window.

Use <B> and </B> tags around any text in the description you want to format as bold.
Path to Project

Displays the current path where this project is saved.

Separate compiled code from new project items

Configures LabVIEW to store compiled code separately for new items that you create in the project.

Mark Existing Items

Displays the Mark Project Items to Separate Compiled Code dialog box. Use this dialog box to simultaneously separate compiled code from multiple existing items in a project.

Save version

Specify the save version with a short form LabVIEW version string. Select Editor Version to save to the current editor version. When you change the save version, LabVIEW loads all items in the project. For items not saved to a compatible version, LabVIEW prompts you to save them on close. Save version only applies to project items that separate complied code from source file.
