If you select File»Close before saving your VI, LabVIEW displays the Save changes before closing? dialog box. This dialog box serves as a warning that the VI is about to leave memory and that any unsaved changes will be lost. Click List Unsaved Changes to display the Explain Changes dialog box.

This dialog box includes the following components:

Option Description
Save

Save all current VIs.
Don't Save

Removes all VIs and their associated components from memory without saving.
Cancel

Cancel the close operation.
