Click the Options button in the Merge VIs dialog box to display this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to update the configuration of the Merge VIs dialog box.

This dialog box includes the following components:

Option Description
Merge options Provides options for the merge operation.
  • Auto-resolve—

    Automatically merges any non-conflicting changes between the VIs. This checkbox contains a checkmark by default.

  • Front panel position/size changes—

    Merges changes between the position and size of objects on the front panel. This checkbox contains a checkmark by default.

  • Block diagram cosmetic changes—

    Merges changes on the block diagrams that do not affect the execution of the VI, such as color changes, visible subdiagrams in Case and Stacked Sequence structures, and format and precision of constants. This checkbox contains a checkmark by default.

    • Block diagram position/size changes—

      Merges changes between the position and size of objects on the block diagram. This checkbox does not contain a checkmark by default.

  • Make space for block diagram changes—

    Automatically applies changes to front panel objects that are linked to block diagram objects.

  • Link block diagram to front panel changes—

    Makes space on the block diagram for changes that require the position or size of a block diagram object to increase in size or move.
View the VIs in Specifies the window style of the VIs you want to merge.
  • Multiple windows—

    Displays the VIs you want to merge in multiple windows.

  • Single window—

    Displays the VIs you want to merge in a single window.
