Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA

The PXIe-5624 contains a Xilinx Kintex-7 XC7K410T FPGA.

The FPGA is used for host interaction over the PXI Express interface, system configuration, digital data movement, and digital signal processing. The FPGA has direct connections to the following resources:

  • ADC
  • PXI Express bus
  • DRAM
  • SRAM
  • PFI 0
  • Digital I/O (DIO)
  • PXI trigger lines

These connections allow for custom programming using the LabVIEW FPGA Module to meet the needs of many types of applications.

FPGA Resources

The PXIe-5624 FPGA has the following resources.

Resource Type PXIe-5624
Logic cells 406,720
Configurable Logic Block (CLB) Flip-Flops 508,400
DSP48E1 slices 1,540
Total block RAM (kb) 28,620

Refer to the documentation of the LabVIEW FPGA Module, available at ni.com/docs, for information about determining how many resources your design utilizes or requires.

Refer to the block diagram comments of the IF digitizer sample project FPGA VIs for information about resource consumption for sample projects.

Note Some of the FPGA resources are consumed by the logic necessary to operate the device and integrate with LabVIEW FPGA Module, so they are out of the control of users.
