Installing the Bench Data Connector Browser

  • Contact your NI representative to obtain the offline installer file.
  1. Navigate to the offline installer file, located in: <Installer Folder Path>\offline\uncompressed
  2. Run Install.exe to initiate the installation process. If Windows User Account Control (UAC) is active, a prompt will appear to allow the installer to run.
    If NI Package Manager (NIPM) is not already installed on the local machine, the Bench Data Connector installation process will begin by installing NIPM.
  3. Select NI Bench Data Connector Browser, then click Next.
  4. Review the license agreement and proceed to installation.
  5. Activate the Browser using NI License Manager (NILM) and the provided software license information, or click Cancel to skip product activation temporarily and end the installation process.
  • Locate the Bench Data Connector shortcut, which is installed within the National Instruments start menu folder by default. If needed, copy this shortcut to an easily accessible location for future use.
