Simplify the Application of VeriStand Entities Across Multiple DUTs

To simplify the application of user channels, calculated channels, alarms, procedures, models, and mapping across multiple DUTs in the test system, you can use the Socket %SOCKET% token in folder names and properties.

When you include Socket %SOCKET% in a folder name, the Battery Test System software does the following:
  • Duplicates the addition of that user channel, calculated channel, or alarm folder into folders for every socket that is defined in your test plan.
  • Replaces %SOCKET% with the actual socket number being scripted within these folders.
Similarly, when you include %SOCKET% in an element name, the Battery Test System software does the following:
  • Replaces %SOCKET% with the actual socket number being scripted.
  • Replaces %SOCKET% with the actual socket number being scripted within these elements.

In this way, you can create socket-agnostic user channels, calculated channels, alarms, procedures, models, and mapping once and apply them across all sockets in the system.
