You can set the following preferences in NI Batch Installer Builder:

  • Use Default Batch Installer Language to set the default batch installer language for new batch installer specifications. You can override the default setting in individual batch installer specifications.
Note Note  Changing this preference will not override the language setting in existing batch installer specifications.
  • Click Advanced to set the following advanced preferences:
    • Use Batch Installer Build Log Directory to set the location of the batch installer build logs.
    • Use Source Installer Library Directory to set the location where NI Batch Installer Builder stores copies of the source installers.

Changing the library directory does not move installers already copied to the library to the new directory. To move previously copied installers to the new location, delete them and re-add them after you have modified the library directory. Trying to build a batch installer with source installers at the previous library location will result in a build error.

      Note Notes
      • Select shorter library path names to avoid path length issues when copying source installers to the library.
      • Add the Path column in the Source Installer Library view to see the source path.
